Scalp Micropigmentation (SMP) is a tattoo technique where thousands of tiny dots of ink are implanted into the scalp with a tattoo machine. This technique replicates the appearance of hair follicles, and therefore the illusion of thicker hair, or a more desirable hairline.

 

SMP is a great option for both women and men with thinning hair. SMP makes long hair look thicker, creates an entirely new hairline for men who keep a close buzz cut, or blends scars from hair transplants.

The scalp is numbed and mapped before beginning the procedure. The process takes about 2-4 hours depending on the area and coverage needed.

Avoid excessive sweating for 72 hours after procedure. You can rinse your head later in the day after the procedure, and wash with shampoo 3-4 days later.

Minimum of 3-4 appointments are needed to complete the final results, which then last 3-5 years.
